Wow...

Excellent piece, but every now and again I hear some influence from Drowning Into The Heavens, was this intentional? Because it brought me back a while, furthering the feeling of peace I get when listening to your work. Great job.

MarkySpark responds:

Not intentional my friend, It's just some chords or notes I like better than others.

excellent

The snare needs work, the guitar tone is a little bad, but its forgivable, the piano sounds great, but maybe a little more reverb. As if you were alone in a cold dark hallway, and all of your fears are being compressed into the ominous sound of the striking of piano keys. The main guitar riff could use some rhythm over it, it sounds weird by itself. Anyways, still a 10/10, I'd love to hear more from you man

pitchblak responds:

Thanx for the review man,Yeah, Ive never been pleased with my tone,I have some crappy equipment, hope to upgrade one day.The snare...I just used a kit from Easy Drummer,I dont really try and tweak them. Thanks for the advice and vote!!

Hell Yeah man

The chorus is very punk, and I can dig that alot (I'm in a punk/thrash band lol). Great work on this track, i love your voice man. But I really don't see any areas you need to improve in. Well, maybe the drums a bit (just turn em up and it will sound good), and when the guitars are harmonized, the tone is fishy. Also, I've never heard that kind of breakdown in a punk/thrash song, well done with the innovation man!

BERSERKYD responds:

Thanks a lot !! Its nice to heard the opinion of a punker, cuz I use to listen a LOT of punk, pennywise, bad religion, strung Out... ya know. And I Try couple monthe ago this punk/trash stuff, and I got a lot more to come, cuz its defenitly what I would like to play in band. Rock On Bud !

Not bad

But you definitely have to pick your category better. This is not metal at all. But still 7/10 because of the musicianship. I'm not going to be a dick because you put it in the wrong category, but i will let you know. Be more careful with that, because people who don't play can be ignorant to the slightest of mistakes. Great job none the less.

seel responds:

Really? It didn't cross my mind that this would be the wrong category... I guess you're right though now that I think of it, but I'm unsure where this would go otherwise. I mean the amount of genres offered by the audio portal is sparse to say the least. Thanks for the kind words though.

yes!

This is the most old school metal I've heard on NG yet. This brings me back to the time just before thrash, with bits of hair metal in there, sounds great.

BERSERKYD responds:

HEy thanks man !! Yeah I'm doing a bunch of song like that so b ready to Rock hard ;)

I absolutely love it

And I agree that this wouldn't go well in the classical section. Speaking of which, why does nobody check it? That is where some of the best music is. Anyways, I like it, when the snare roll came in, my heart stopped. The marimba was out of place, but the when it kicked back in with the drums, what an excellent transition. The brass instruments should have been a bit more aggressive, but all in all, amazing piece. The lone cellos at 3:32 made my day. Keep making music like this, and you will be one of the most respected artists on NG. Downloaded...

Throughdarkness responds:

Thank you! Ive been heavily focusing on metal lately and I think Im gonna go back to some more relaxing/chill pieces like this.

Video Game Music

very primitive, brings me back to a simple time. But you were WAY off when you decided this was "Heavy Metal". Also, its extremely short, and definitely unfinished. If this was worked on, it could be an excellent video game track, I do see potential. But you get a 3/10 for your epic error in communication. Metal? Not in my word buddy.

pk93ad responds:

i just put it as metal cuz i didnt know what it was, it wont happen again, and i am planning on editing the track, thanks for the comeback

NIICE

I don't usually listen to techno, but bring in the element of good writing is very uncommon in techno lol. The fade at 1:05 or so didn't fit as well as it could. But when in kicked back in, it was great. Most transitions in techno are choppy and unorganized, but this whole piece sounded great. The piano did seem out of place, maybe choose a less realistic sounding instrument (never thought I would say that). All in all, great song, but the drums and bass need to be turned up. That would give it the extra touch to make it sound like something people would Guido Fist Pump to. 9/10
Cheers man
(You may notice the number of dowloads went up. Your welcome lol...)

Great...

I'm writing this here so you can get higher mark on this submission lol. I love the amount of initiative and dedication you are putting towards this collab, but this is a little too long. If it was approx. 2.5 mins, and with less major key stuff, it would be the absolute perfect song I'm looking for. Also, I have no instruments available where I am, so I might as well ask you, what key is it in? I'm looking for either C, C#, or D minor, depending on what the piano players prefer to play to. But this is excellent, cheers from Canada.

FlaggedOnArrival responds:

Excellent. I'm open to any key. Just ask them which they prefer, and one of the reasons it's so long is so that you can pick or choose which part you like best.

The judges were crazy, and Newgrounds audio artists are insanely underrated. I'm looking for musicians for a music collab with 4 or more artists, including myself, where everybody solos, everybody with different genres and influences, would you be interested? You can PM me for more details if you like
